In 1993, a group of Sikh sangat headed by Bhai Jaswant Singh decided to set up a Gurdwara Sahib for
the Sikh community in Bandar Sunway. This dynamic group of youths managed to collect donation and
built this Gurdwara Sahib in 1993 on a piece of land. Most of the youths who did voluntary service in the
construction of the building are from India. A small Darbar Sahib was built within few weeks and the Holy
Guru Granth Sahib, was respectfully placed therein. Since the first parkash, weekly Satsang on every
Thursday are being held in the Gurdwara Sahib.
Later in the year 2005, the Gurdwara Sahib was relocated to a new site. The second floor of the
Gurdwara Sahib building comprises a small Darbar under the main Dome with open-air sitting. The first
floor comprises the Main Darbar Sahib, Kitchen to prepare parshad and the Sukhasan. The ground floor
consist of the Guru Ka Langgar (dining) hall, Office, Gianiji's room as well as the kitchen which is situated
at the back.
